Canada’s Volatus agrees to buy Lithuanian aerospace technology company AISPECO for $10.5 million

LithuaniaAnnounced

Canadian aerospace company Volatus Aerospace has agreed to acquire Lithuania’s AISPECO in a transaction valued at an initial US$10.5 million, bringing a Vilnius-based manufacturer of airborne sensor systems into its international operations.

Under the agreement announced on 14 October, Volatus will acquire 100% of AISPECO’s shares, paying US$3 million in cash and US$7.5 million in Volatus shares. The transaction also includes potential additional payments of up to US$2.5 million, depending on financial, commercial and product-development milestones achieved over the next three years.

AISPECO develops modular sensor systems and flight-management software used in aerial surveying, infrastructure inspection and other data-collection operations. Its equipment can be installed on more than 20 aircraft types, and the company reports having sold approximately 50 complete systems to customers across several continents.

The Lithuanian company generated approximately C$5.72 million in revenue in 2025, more than double its previous year’s figure, according to information released by Volatus.

The acquisition would give the Canadian group an engineering and manufacturing base in Vilnius, alongside its existing aviation operations and manufacturing activities in Canada. Volatus plans to use AISPECO’s technology in commercial, infrastructure and defence-related markets.

Completion of the transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, including conditional approval from the Toronto Stock Exchange.
