EEX and Baltpool plan to develop an organised biomass trading model for Germany, with weekly waste wood auctions run by Baltpool and a related market index published by EEX.
The first auctions are expected by the end of 2026. The move matters less as a PR partnership and more as a structural signal: a Baltic trading platform is being used as a template for a fragmented German biomass market.
