REGIONAL MOOD — Shared Baltic Patterns

REGIONAL MOOD — Shared Baltic Patterns

REGIONAL MOOD — Shared Baltic Patterns

Borders & Security

All three states show high engagement around border-related issues — Belarus truck queues in Lithuania, security-service actions in Latvia, and China-related trade concerns in Estonia.

Identity & Language

Strong emotional debates across the region: Lithuanian language in schools, Latvia’s language reform, and Estonia’s history- and identity-driven discussions.

Labour & Demography

A shared tension between restricting immigration and coping with labour shortages. Most visible in LT and LV, partially present in EE.

Culture & Community

Low-conflict, positive cluster: cultural events, charity, and city-life topics appear consistently across the Baltics.

Russian-speaking Communities

Similar behavioural pattern in all three countries: 55–65% complaints about restrictions, 35–45% “just live your life” posts.
