One in three Estonian companies now uses AI

More than a third of Estonian enterprises are now using artificial intelligence, according to new data from Statistics Estonia.

In 2026, 34% of enterprises reported using at least one AI technology, up from around 23% a year earlier.

The increase suggests that AI adoption is moving beyond experimentation and becoming considerably more common in the Estonian business sector.

AI use is also widespread among individuals: 65% of Estonia’s population uses AI tools, with adoption exceeding 80% among people aged 25–44.

For the economy, however, the company figure is the more important signal.

Signal: In a single year, the share of Estonian enterprises using AI has risen by roughly half, with adoption now reaching about one company in three.
