Capital Mill expands in Riga with two shopping-centre acquisitions

Latvia

Estonian real estate investment and development company Capital Mill has acquired three shopping centres in Riga, expanding its portfolio in the Latvian capital.
The acquisition includes Dole and shopping centres at Stirnu iela 26 and Nīcgales iela 2. Together, the properties have more than 25,000 square metres of leasable space, with Rimi serving as the anchor tenant at all three locations.
Capital Mill also plans further investment in the properties. Reconstruction of Dole is expected to begin shortly, while a reconstruction project is being prepared for the Nīcgales iela centre.
The value of the transactions was not disclosed.
The acquisition increases Capital Mill’s exposure to neighbourhood retail properties in Riga, with the company pointing to stable customer flows and the role of these centres in residents’ everyday shopping.
