Akola takes control of Lithuanian bubble tea producer with 97% export share
Lithuanian agricultural and food group Akola has increased its ownership of OMG Bubble Tea to 51%, gaining control of a fast-growing beverage producer whose sales are overwhelmingly concentrated in export markets.
OMG Bubble Tea, founded in 2022, operates a manufacturing facility in Panevėžys and reported revenue of €9.5 million in 2025. Approximately 97% of its products are exported, primarily to European markets including France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Austria and Italy.
Akola first invested in the company in 2024, acquiring a minority stake. The new transaction gives it a controlling position and the right to appoint three of the five board members. OMG Bubble Tea’s founders will remain involved in management and business development.
The acquisition extends Akola’s presence in consumer beverages beyond its established agricultural and food manufacturing businesses. OMG Bubble Tea has also entered the functional drinks market, launching carbonated beverages earlier this year.
Mažvydas Šileika, Akola’s Deputy CEO for Finance and Investments, said the group intends to support further international expansion through its experience in manufacturing, financial management and export development.
The purchase price was not disclosed. Akola reported consolidated revenue of €1.5 billion for its 2025–2026 financial year.
