Estonian meat producer Nõo Lihatööstus commissions €4.7 million cold storage facility

Estonian meat producer Nõo Lihatööstus has commissioned a new cold storage facility under a €4.7 million construction contract awarded to Embach Ehitus, a subsidiary of the listed construction group Nordecon.

The agreement, announced on 19 October, covers the construction of the facility, with completion scheduled for September 2027. The contract value excludes VAT.

The project represents a new investment in the physical infrastructure of Estonia’s food processing industry, where refrigerated storage is an essential part of production logistics and the handling of temperature-sensitive products.

For Embach Ehitus, the agreement adds an industrial facility to its construction portfolio. Its parent company, Nordecon, operates in Estonia, Sweden and Ukraine and reported consolidated revenue of €208 million in 2025.

Neither the planned storage capacity nor the building’s floor area has been disclosed. The companies have also not specified whether the new facility will replace existing infrastructure or provide additional storage capacity.
