Tallinn opens international tender for new film studio complex
Estonia is moving ahead with plans for a major film production complex in Tallinn. Tallinnfilm Studios has launched an international tender for the design and construction of a new studio facility in the Paljassaare district.
The approximately 6,000-square-metre complex will include three modern sound stages and supporting production infrastructure. Companies have until 15 December 2026 to submit their bids, with completion planned for 2028.
According to Tallinnfilm Studios, the project is intended to attract international film productions while providing Estonian filmmakers with facilities capable of supporting larger and more technically demanding projects.
The launch of the tender moves the project into the procurement stage, bringing Estonia closer to establishing a modern production facility designed to serve both domestic and international film industries.
