Lithuania: Average Wage Reaches €2,527 in Q4 2025
Lithuania’s average gross monthly wage rose to €2,526.8 in Q4 2025, up 4.1% quarter-on-quarter and 8.2% year-on-year.
Net monthly pay reached €1,540.9, increasing by 3.8% q/q and 7.6% y/y.
Real wage growth stood at +3.2% q/q and +3.7% y/y, indicating income growth above inflation.
Sector split
Public sector gross wage: €2,834.8 (+9.6% q/q)
Private sector gross wage: €2,396 (+1.5% q/q)
The strongest quarterly growth was recorded in:
Education (+16.7%)
Mining & quarrying (+11.9%)
Public administration (+9.3%)
Transport & storage was the only sector to register a decline (−0.8%).
Employment signal
Average employment decreased slightly q/q (−2,200), driven by a reduction in private sector jobs (−8,200), while public employment increased (+6,000).
On an annual basis, employment remains higher (+11,900).
Context
Q4 dynamics suggest that wage growth in Lithuania is currently being supported more by public sector adjustments than by private sector acceleration.
