Estonia selects 18 defence projects for €3 million in national co-financing
Estonia’s Ministry of Defence has selected 18 projects involving Estonian defence companies and research organisations for €3 million in national co-financing under the 2026 European Defence Fund (EDF) call.
The ministry received 63 applications for national support. Estonian participants are involved in more than 60 international EDF project proposals, including two coordinated from Estonia.
The European Commission has yet to evaluate the EDF applications, with final results expected by spring 2027. The national co-financing decisions therefore do not guarantee that the projects will receive European funding.
