Lithuania proposes €11.3m support scheme for clean commercial vehicles
Lithuania’s Environment Ministry has proposed allocating €11.314 million to support companies purchasing new low-emission commercial vehicles.
The proposed scheme would cover electric, hydrogen-powered and biomethane vehicles in the N1–N3 and M2–M3 categories, including vans, trucks and buses.
Support could cover up to 30% of eligible costs for large companies, 50% for medium-sized businesses and 60% for small enterprises.
Maximum support per vehicle would vary by vehicle type. It would range from €8,000 for a hydrogen-powered N1 vehicle to as much as €100,000 for an electric or hydrogen-powered heavy truck or bus in the N3 and M3 categories.
The ministry published the proposed conditions for consultation on 8 October. Comments can be submitted until 16 October.
The scheme has not yet opened for applications: the ministry is currently proposing the funding rules rather than announcing an already approved allocation to companies.
