OP Corporate Bank provides €8 million for Jūrmala–Riga wastewater pipeline
OP Corporate Bank’s Latvian branch has provided €8 million in financing to municipal utility Jūrmalas ūdens for the reconstruction of an 11-kilometre wastewater pipeline connecting Jūrmala with Riga’s wastewater treatment system.
The pipeline also serves part of Mārupe municipality. The project will replace ageing infrastructure and include the design of a second pipeline to accommodate future capacity expansion.
Latvian construction company Binders has been selected through a public tender to carry out the design and reconstruction work. Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-2027 and be completed by mid-2029.
The investment is part of Jūrmalas ūdens’s long-term programme to modernise its wastewater infrastructure and improve the reliability of services.
