Latvia’s ORIGIN and Anduril to test integrated counter-drone system

Latvian defence technology company ORIGIN and US-based Anduril have signed a memorandum to explore integrating ORIGIN’s BLAZE autonomous interceptor drone with Anduril’s Lattice command-and-control platform.

The companies plan to conduct joint testing, demonstrations and validation in Latvia. The work will examine how BLAZE, together with deployed radars and other sensors, could operate through Lattice as part of a wider layered counter-drone defence system rather than as a standalone interceptor.

The memorandum was signed during Latvia’s business mission to the United States accompanying President Edgars Rinkēvičs’ official visit. It does not yet represent a procurement contract or investment commitment, but moves the relationship from discussions to a defined programme of technology integration and testing.
