Telia plans 210 job cuts in Estonia and Lithuania

EstoniaAnnounced

Telia Company plans to cut around 210 positions in Estonia and Lithuania as part of a new restructuring programme affecting approximately 900 jobs across the group.

Around 100 positions are expected to be affected in Estonia, where Telia has approximately 1,400 employees, and another 110 in Lithuania, where the company employs around 2,350 people. The changes are expected to be completed by the end of 2026 and remain subject to consultations with trade unions.

At the same time, Telia plans to transfer around 220 positions, mainly from its common technology organisation, back to national units. The company says the move is intended to give its country operations greater responsibility and simplify the group structure.

Telia expects the restructuring to generate around SEK 1 billion (€91 million) in annual gross savings. Restructuring costs of approximately SEK 600 million are expected to be booked in the fourth quarter.

The group is due to publish its nine-month financial results on 22 October.
