Venipak expands Baltic parcel network as DHL acquisition moves forward

Venipak is increasing capacity across its Baltic parcel network while its acquisition by DHL awaits regulatory approval.

The company says it is investing more than €2.5 million in Baltic infrastructure this year. In Latvia, capacity at its busiest parcel lockers has been increased by around 15%. In Lithuania, a new terminal in Klaipėda will be about 60% larger and able to process twice as many parcels, while a new automated sorting line in Kaunas will raise capacity from 3,000 to 7,000 parcels per hour.

A further €16 million logistics terminal is planned in Vilnius for the first half of 2027.

DHL signed an agreement in July to acquire Venipak Group and create a wholly owned domestic logistics network across Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The latest investments show that the Baltic network DHL is acquiring is still being expanded rather than simply transferred in its existing form.
