Teltonika gets 58 MW power connection almost a year ahead of schedule

Lithuania has completed a major electricity connection for the €3.5 billion Teltonika High-Tech Hill project in Vilnius almost a year ahead of the original deadline.

The new Kuprioniškės transformer substation can provide up to 58 MW of capacity to the technology park, which is expected to become one of Lithuania’s largest electricity consumers.

Under the original connection commitments, power was due to be available by the end of August 2027. Supply is instead being enabled in September 2026.

The project includes a new 110 kV switchyard, two 63 MVA transformers and two 7.5-kilometre high-voltage cable lines. Around 45 kilometres of cable were installed in total.

Litgrid is investing €12.8 million in the transmission infrastructure, while distribution operator ESO’s part of the Kuprioniškės substation project is valued at €6.81 million excluding VAT.

The early completion removes an important infrastructure constraint for Teltonika High-Tech Hill as construction and development of new manufacturing capacity continue.

Teltonika has said the full technology park should be operational by 2029.

The signal is therefore not simply the opening of another substation: Lithuania has delivered critical power infrastructure significantly ahead of the timetable for one of its largest planned high-tech industrial investments.
