Lithuania adds €33.6 million to Rheinmetall ammunition plant investment

Lithuania

Lithuanian state-controlled companies are investing an additional €33.6 million into the structure participating in Rheinmetall’s ammunition plant project in Radviliškis district.

Energy group EPSO-G will contribute €17.13 million, while state investment company Valstybės investicinis kapitalas will provide €16.46 million through a new share issue in EPSO-G Invest.

The additional capital forms part of Lithuania’s financial participation in the Rheinmetall project, which is being developed as a major new ammunition manufacturing facility in the country.

The latest contribution shows that Lithuania’s involvement is continuing to move from political support and project agreements into direct state capital commitments.
